BMW has increased the amount of auto components sourced domestically to 50%.
Some of the components that the company procures from local vendors include seats from Lear India, air conditioning, cooling, ventilating and heating modules from Mahel Behr and Valeo India, exhaust systems from Tenneco Automotive India, wiring harness and door panels from Draexlmaier India, axles from ZF Hero Chassis and engine and transmission from Force Motors, ETAuto.com reported.
