Suzuki Hungary has resumed production at its plant in northern Esztergom after a five-day break due to disruption in gas flow according local newspaper Vilaggazdasag.

The report said that the factory is now operating at reduced gas supply with activity only partially resumed..

Production at the plant stopped last Wednesday after a halt in natural gas supplies from Russia, due to that country’s distribution dispute with Ukraine. Hungary placed restrictions on industrial users.

However, Ukraine’s dispute with Russia over gas prices and the knock-on effects on transit supplies to central Europe and the EU appears to be far from over.
