In order to meet rising demand, Audi plans to commence a third shift at its Gyor plant in Hungary from mid-August.
A Reuters reort said he plant, 80 miles/120km from Budapest, churns out A3 sedan and convertible models as well as TT Coupe and Roadster models. The factory has an annual production capacity of 160,000 vehicles.
Car production chief Gerd Walker said: “We are preparing for serial production of the new TT Coupe with full steam. Introduction of the third shift is inevitable.”
