Despite notable increases in exports to North America and Europe, due to changed sourcing patterns, Honda production in Japan dipped 0.7% year on year in October to 75,448 units.
Production elsewhere rose 3.6% to 338,331 and the global tally was up 2.8% to 413,779.
Year to date, Japan output was off 28.4% to 588,238 but up 6.7% to 3,165,850 abroad. Year to date volume dipped 0.9% to 3,754,088.
Despite the end of Jazz production at Swindon, England, European output surged 32.7% to 8,841 units with a 4% rise to 102,571.
Exports from Japan to North America soared 821.4% to 7,261 last month (19%/11,795YTD) and 219.4% to 2,667 to Europe (276%/15,483YTD) after Jazz sourcing switched from Swindon to Japan.
