Hankook Tire & Technology Company has announced that it has agreed to supply its ultra-high-performance Ventus S1 evo Z tyre for fitment as original equipment on the Porsche 911 Carrera, as the South Korean manufacturer continues to strengthen its strategic partnership with the German sports car maker.
Hankook said the new Ventus S1 evo Z was developed following a decade of original equipment cooperation with Porsche, and is the result of years of research and development (R&D) and testing. It received Porsche’s official ‘NA2’ certification, which is awarded to tyres developed specifically for a particular model.

Hankook confirmed that the tyres will be supplied in two different specifications for the 911 Carrera, one each for the front and rear wheels, including different sizes, tread designs, profiles and rubber compounds, to reflect their different roles these tyres perform.
Aleix Alcaraz, a test driver at Hankook Tire, said in a statement: “Our goal was to deliver precise steering, stability at high speeds, and reliable grip under all conditions. Striking a balance between track performance and everyday usability made this project particularly demanding. Pushing the 911 Carrera to its limits on test tracks like Nardò and applying the lessons learned to the road was both challenging and a special experience.”
