Hyundai Motor and affiliate Kia have shown new midsize sedans at the China International Automobile Exhibition in Guangzhou ahead of launch next year.
Hyundai showed the Sonata sedan in China for the first time while Kia had the K5.
The show opens to the public on Tuesday and runs until 27 December, according to the Korea Herald.
Hyundai has targeted over 700,000 sales in China next year after about 570,000 expected for 2010.
Sonatas sold in China will be assembled there and ongoing works will see local capacity booted to 1m units by 2012.
Kia will launch the K5 in the first half of 2011 .During the first 11 months of this year, it sold about 301,000 units in China, year on year growth of 44.7%.
