Tyre company Goodyear has announced a strategic relationship with UFODRIVE, an all-electric car rental company, aimed at improving electric vehicle fleet performance.

The companies will together pursue opportunities to integrate their complementary mobility solutions, including Goodyear’s intelligent tyre monitoring system and proactive solutions suite and UFODRIVE’s advanced eMobility software as a service platform.

Goodyear and UFODRIVE will also conduct studies designed to optimize vehicle utilization and servicing to maximize energy usage and tyre replacement cost savings and minimize the carbon impact of fleets.

As part of the project, Goodyear will be exploring the use of its Total Mobility fleet package, previously applied to commercial vehicle fleets, with EVs.

Total Mobility features a suite of data-driven monitoring and predictive analytics systems to provide fleet operators with real-time tyre performance information.
