Volkswagen is recalling 300,000 vehicles equipped with its two-litre diesel engine over potentially leaking fuel lines in the fuel injector system.
Last October, VW’s US unit recalled 168,275 Golf, Jetta and Audi A3 cars to fix possible fuel leaks that could lead to an engine fire, according to safety regulators.
The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said an injector line could develop small cracks that could lead to fuel leakage under certain conditions.
VW said it will install an improved fuel injector line and vibration dampers, according to NHTSA documents.
