Volkswagen’s passenger cars brand delivered more than three quarters of a million vehicles in the first two months of the year, up 14% on the same period a year ago.
A total of 758,100 were delivered to customers worldwide in January and February, a performance sales and marketing chief Christian Klingler attributed to the brand’s “strong and young product range”.

VW brand vehicles grew in all global regions with Europe up 3.3% to 245,200, including 86,000 in Germany. In the Asia/Pacific region, the brand reported a 22.8% increase to 301,200 while 274,300 were delivered in China and Hong Kong, up 19.6%.
In North America the brand grew deliveries 12.2% to 64,600 while in South America sales were up 14.8% to 121,000.
