Unions are calling for a 5% wage increase, but workers have been offered 3% for an agreement lasting 21 months.
Auto 5000 workers are currently paid around 20% less than other Wolfsburg employees. They were recruited from the ranks of the long-term unemployed and have more flexible working hours and conditions, and are paid a performance bonus.
The negotiations continue on the 28th June.
