Volkswagen will make a decision on the location of its planned new plant in Russia in May, according to dpa-AFX news agency.


Five locations are currently under consideration, according to Volkswagen board member and Skoda boss Detlef Wittig.


The new plant should start production from the end of 2008 and produce a Polo sedan and the Skoda Octavia.


The plant should employ generate around 3,000 to 3,500 jobs.
