The problems stem from the mounting of a part supplied by the US group Delphi, and could cause drivers to lose control of their cars, a spokesman told Agence France Presse (AFP).


The recall concerns vehicles sold since April, he added.


A DaimlerChrysler UK spokeswoman told just-auto that no cars in the UK are affected.


“Right-hand drive production has not started yet and we don’t get the car till September,” she added.
