Tenneco would consider buying parts of VDO if Continental were to dispose of units following the VDO takeover, German newspaper Handelsblatt has said.

The report cited remarks made by executive board member Hari Nair.
“We will look at everything very closely, what might come on the market from VDO,” Nair reportedly said.
German auto supplier Continental agreed to take over Siemens AG’s VDO auto electronics division in July in a deal worth EUR11.4bn.
