The Scandinavian suppliers association is pleased the future of the Saab site at Trollhattan has been detailed but is concerned it will make only electric cars.
“Finally it is over – they have a base to continue from, we know now what will happen in Saab Trollhattan, managing director told just-auto‘s Simon Warburton on the sidelines of a supplier event in Nuremburg.
“Our worry, though, is that electric cars… is not the volume our industry is made for, is trimmed for.
“It is a completely different way of supplying parts and components to a low volume manufacturer in terms of tooling, type of production, how you make things.
“The market for electric cars is kind of low.
“We don’t expect anything… except we have our customer back.”
