Volkswagen group sportscar and luxury SUV specialist Porsche bosted sales just 1.4% in January to 12,225 vehicles worldwide citing 911, Boxter and updated Panamera as the reason.
Panamera volume was up about 15% to 2,300 vehicles.
“We were able to outperform by a little the very high level of the record month last year,” said sales and marketing head Bernhard Maier.
“We take a confident look to the coming months and are convinced that we will again enjoy annual growth in 2014. The decisive drivers will be our extended product range and our expanded dealer network.”
China sales rose 29%, with the Asia Pacific, Africa and Mideast region up 14%, offset by an 8% drop in the American mainland and Europe as the automaker noted a strong January 2013 result. Home market sales rose 10% to about 1,500.
