Wolfgang Porsche, a member of the supervisory board since 1978, is the new chairman of the sportscar maker, succeeding Helmut Sihler (73), who resigned at his own request on Friday.
Wolfgang Porsche is a shareholder and holds posts on a number of supervisory, advisory and administrative boards.
Sihler chaired Porsche’s supervisory board for 14 years.
Hans-Peter Porsche (66) was appointed a member of the board at today’s general meeting, replacing Sihler on the Board. With his brother Ferdinand Alexander, Hans-Peter established Porsche Design Produkte Vertriebsgesellschaft in Salzburg in 1978.
After 27 years, banker Walther Zügel also resigned from the board. Ulrich Lehner replaced him.
