Opel is to feature its LED Matrix IntelliLux lighting system at the Frankfurt International Motor Show this year for its Astra range.
The German automaker maintains the systems allows driving with glare-free high beams in the compact class for the first time.
“We are democratising technology by making innovations affordable and bringing them to high volume vehicles,” said Opel VP vehicle engineering, Charlie Klein.
“With the introduction of this lighting technology to the compact vehicle class, Opel is the first automaker to offer this efficient and high performance lighting system in this segment.
“Our integration of the LED Technology provides night time performance enhancing safety for the driver and those around them.”
