The German cabinet could agree to grant Opel bridge financing, finance minister Peer Steinbrueck said on Wednesday.

Asked on German television station ARD whether the cabinet would agree to provide bridge financing for Opel when it meets on Wednesday, Steinbrueck said: “It is quite possible. The time plan will depend on the decisions made in the United States on General Motors,” according to a Reuters report.
