The fifth round of wage negotiations is due to take place at Auto 5000 this Wednesday. The union is calling for a pay increase of 5%. The fourth round of negotiations 10 days ago ended without an agreement.
The last round of negotiations resulted in a wage increase of 3% for a period of 21 months. Unions have been deeply unhappy with this agreement ever since, saying that it amounts to ‘deception’.
