Global sales of the Mercedes Car Group grew 3% last year to a record 1,260,600 units.


Mercedes-Benz volume was up 7% to a record 1,148,500 units.


Sales in the key US market rose 11% to a record 248,100 passenger vehicles, the 13th consecutive rise.


The brand’s sales also rose 11% in the Asia-Pacific region, where 126,200 passenger vehicles were delivered. Sales in China increased 33%, to 21,100 units.


Mercedes-Benz western Europe sales increased 4% to 685,200 units.
