Mazda Motor Europe boosted fiscal first quarter retail sales 1.5% to 77,500 units, its best Q1 volume since 1992.

June retails were 1.7% down to 27,800 units.

The momentum is likely to grow as the company launches its new B-segment 2 supermini across the continent later this year.

The new car is being imported from Japan, unlike its Ford Spain-assembled predecessor.
