Mazda Motor Corporation said on Tuesday its European sales were running ahead of the 220,000 vehicles it had planned to sell this year, according to Reuters.

“We’re running a little above that,” Stephen Odell, senior managing executive officer for Mazda global sales, told Reuters after launching the new Mazda3 model line at the Frankfurt motor show.

He also said sales in the United States were picking up after a slow start earlier this year, Reuters added.
