Audi does not plan to sell Lamborghini, contrary to reports published in the German magazine auto motor und sport.

According to the dpa-afx news agency, an Audi spokesperson described the news story as completely false, and compared it to an April’s fool joke.
Lamborghini delivered 1,600 cars in 2005, and plans to raise this to 1,800-1,900 in 2006. This compares with just over 200 units in 1998 when Audi acquired Lamborghini.
