According to the dpa-afx news agency, an Audi spokesperson described the news story as completely false, and compared it to an April’s fool joke.
Lamborghini delivered 1,600 cars in 2005, and plans to raise this to 1,800-1,900 in 2006. This compares with just over 200 units in 1998 when Audi acquired Lamborghini.
