Koepfer Zahnrad und Getriebetechnik is planning to take over and continue the Getrag timing gear production in Ludwigsburg. The closing of the deal is expected in June 2013.

With this step, Getrag continues to focus on transmissions for passenger cars while Koepfer extends its presence and its capacities in Germany. All 137 employees in Ludwigsburg will transfer. The purchase price was not disclosed.
