Robert Bosch GmbH, together with Continental AG, INA Walzlager Scheffler oHG, ZF Friedrichshafen AG, and other internationally active companies of the automotive supplier industry, as well as SAPMarkets, a fully-owned subsidiary of SAP AG, dedicated to creating new marketplaces, plans to establish a joint-venture company for jointly building an electronic marketplace for the European automotive supplier industry and its supply partners.
A joint communication and transaction platform aims at facilitating and accelerating business processes of the automotive suppliers with their supply partners. The marketplace is to complement the respective activities of the globally active automobile manufacturers. Bosch is discussing cooperation with COVISINT in the automotive marketplace. The objective is a further substantial improvement in the supply-chain management in total.
