Hella announced today that it is taking over its joint venture, Micron Engineering, in Neutraubling, Germany.

The joint venture was established with Micron Electronic Devices in June 2004. Each company owned 50% of the shares. Hella will own 100% of the company and will retain the plant and its 50 employees.

In a statement Hella said that the joint venture had strengthened its competence in the development of chassis electronics. The plant location is a useful location for conducting product development work with vehicle manufacturers located in southern Germany.
