Ford is cutting production at vehicle factories in Cologne and Saarlouis, German unit head Bernhard Mattes said.
“Politicians must be ready to allow a restructuring of the market,” Mattes said in an interview with the Reuters news agency, referring to the need to trim excess production capacity.
