Dow Jones reports that DaimlerChrysler plans to start building hybrid vehicles at the end of 2007. The report cites an advance copy of an article to be published Wednesday in Focus-Money, citing Herbert Kohler, a company researcher responsible for environmental protection.

The report adds that the company may start producing a fuel cell-powered vehicle between 2010 to 2012, Focus-Money says, adding that until then DaimlerChrysler will focus on strengthening U.S. acceptance of diesel-powered cars.
