International automotive supplier Continental recently appointed Jürgen Braunstetter, 49, to head the newly created central function supply chain management automotive – a position directly below board level.
Braunstetter oversees overall management of the supply chain for Continental’s three automotive divisions. This involves coordination with the purchasing, quality and information technology departments with the aim of further increasing flexibility and allowing for a faster response to market changes.
Before joining Continental in 2011, Braunstetter headed logistics, supplier quality assurance and purchasing at Behr.
