A shortage of cast parts has forced Daimler to curtail temporarily some car and truck output in Germany.
Some production had closed and holiday stoppages would be extended by a few days at three plants, Reuters reported.
A Mercedes-Benz spokeswoman confirmed to the news agency a report in the Rheinpfalz newspaper that output of some models at the car plants in Sindelfingen and Bremen would be halted for two to five days longer than normal at this time of year.
The truck plant in Woerth would be shuttered for extra days due to a shortage of cast parts for engines, transmissions and axles, she reportedly added, without giving more details.
