BMW plans to create hundreds of jobs in Germany by the end of the year, a German newspaper reported.
“In particular, we will be looking for engineers,” the paper quoted a BMW spokesman as saying, according to Reuters.
BMW reportedly expects profits and sales to rise by around 8% this year.
BMW CEO Helmut Panke said the company would maintain the sales rise seen in the first nine months for the remainder of the year, Reuters added.
It quoted company finance chief Stefan Krause saying that BMW brand sales increased 9% to 740,000 units in the nine months to the end of September, while group sales gained 8% to more than 880,000 vehicles. September group unit sales grew by at least 10 percent, he reportedly added.
