BMW Group vehicle sales set a July record with global volume up 7.6% year on year to 163,959 vehicles. Year-to-date volume was up 7% to a record 1,184,170.

BMW brand sales rose 8.4% to 139,399 units in July and 10% to 1,025,747 YTD – the first time the brand has sold over 1m vehicles this early in the year.

i3 sales were 6,620 year-to-date.

Mini’s July volume rose 3.2% to 24,259. Sales of the core third generation hatchback model launched this year were up 22.3% last month to 11,970.

Year-to-date Mini brand sales slipped 9.4% to 156,154, however.
