BMW group has reported record February sales of 133,630 cars, up 4.7% year on year.
Year to date volume rose 7.1% to 256,929 cars.
“In February the BMW Group achieved another healthy increase in sales and we intend to continue the positive development with exciting new models throughout the year”, said sales and marketing head Ian Robertson.
The automaker launched a new GT variant of its 3 series at the Geneva show this week.
BMW brand February sales rose 7% to 114,908 cars and 9.2% for the year to 222,207.
MINI slipped 7.5% down to 18,527 last month and down 3.9% to 34,391 for the year though the mid-March Paceman launch “is expected to bring further momentum to global sales for the brand”, according to the automaker.
