What the automaker described as “ongoing challenges in the global automotive markets” resulted in a fall in BMW Group sales in January.


Volume was off 24.2% to 70,405 units.


BMW brand sales dipped 22.1% to 60,248, MINI sales were down 34.5% to 10,120 and Rolls-Royce sales dipped 9.8% to 37.


Sales and marketing chief Ian Robertson said: “Current market conditions remain extremely challenging.”
