Geely Auto Group, which already has a bit of form with electrified vehicles, has launched a new, pure EV brand.
Geometry was launched in Singapore.

The first model, imaginatively nameplated as Geometry A, is a high end model offered with standard and long ranges, for a total of six configurations.
According to Geely: "Geometry gets it namesake from mathematical geometry which emerged thousands of years ago to describe the world as humans saw it. The brand is Geely's vision of the future in which technology is used to create a sustainable environment and safe mobility, leading to a harmonious relationship between humanity and nature."

By 2025, it will have launched 10 pure electric models in multiple segments including sedans, SUVs, crossovers, and MPVs.
The launch A has CATL ternary lithium batteries that have a capacity of 51.9kWh and 61.9kWh. The standard range model achieves a combined urban & highway NEDC range of 410km while the long range version does 500km, "both effectively eliminating range anxiety", claimed Geely.
Geely New Energy Intelligent Power technology includes an intelligent electronic control system, HEDS electric drive system, lightweight high energy intelligent battery system, and ITCS intelligent battery temperature control. Continuous monitoring of the battery and motor ensures smooth energy output while the intelligent temperature control system ensures efficient battery performance in any weather. The powertrain system provides a maximum power of 120kW and maximum torque of 250 Nm with rest to 100km/h acceleration in 8.8s.
Using fast charge, the A can charge from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes. It also has so-called Super E Energy Station which can supply power to laptops, ovens, lamps, and other equipment with an external power plug.
The models has front and rear moving object detection, intelligent driver seat pre-tensioning seat belt, and other active and passive safety features such as Bosch 9.3 ESP, AEB-P Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, IHBC Intelligent High-Beam Control System andCVW Collision Warning.
The body is made from aluminium alloy and composite materials. The roof has a weight-bearing capacity of 4.12 times its own weight, exceeding the American IIHS standards.
The glove box can be locked with a password, protecting the owners privacy. An intelligent child lock can be used with one button or remotely via mobile phone. With a Bluetooth phone connected, the caller's phone number will be displayed on the drivers HUD which is only visible from the driver seat. Owners will also be able to limit the speed of the vehicle in the hands of other drivers.
Geely claims the Geometry A is the first pure electric vehicle in China to achieve L2+ intelligent drive capabilities generally only found on luxury class models.
It uses multiple cameras and millimetre wave radars to provide AEB-P Automatic Emergency Brake with Pedestrian Recognition and full-speed ACC intelligent adaptive cruise control at speeds up to 150km/h. Rear and side radars power RCW/FCW Front/Rear Collision Warning and there is DOW Door Open Warning, LKA+ Lane Keep Assist, BSD Blind Spot Detection, LCA Lane Change Assist, and ACC S+G Adaptive Cruise Stop and Go.
There is also APA one-button intelligent automatic parking system, 360° Panoramic Reversing Video, an intelligent in-vehicle system and voice assistant, and HD driving recorder.
Prices range from the equivalent of US$22,321 to $37,200.
As Volvo Cars' owner, Geely is heavily involved in that brand's electrification and the upcoming Lynk & Co spin-off will be pure EV.
