‘Official’ photos of the so-called ‘small’ Rolls-Royce have been released ahead of next week’s Frankfurt show roll-out.
The Ghost has a new, 6.6 litre twin-turbo V12 engine with direct injection that produces 563bhp, scooting the car to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds. Torque of 780 Nm peaks at 1,500rpm.
Power is transmitted through an eight-speed, shift-by-wire, automatic ZF gearbox.
“A power reserve gauge replaces the more common rev counter,” the automaker sniffs. “The new powertrain delivers this performance while emitting just 317g/km of CO2,” it adds without a trace of irony.
Fuel consumption is 20.8 mpg/13.6 l/100km.
