Maserati has switched its Ghibli, Quattroporte and Levante models to electric power steering (EPS) for the 2018 model year, enabling new driver assistance systems (ADAS).
“EPS has replaced hydraulic power steering on both sedans, as well as on the model year 2018 Levante, providing better handling and comfort, while retaining the razor sharp steering feel that is a symbolic feature of every Maserati,” the automaker said in a statement.
The switch allows Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS) with more active functions to be included.
