Renault has shaken up its management team in France in readiness for Carlos Ghosn’s move from heading Nissan to heading both the Japanese and French car makers.


Amondg the changes are the departure of Renault’s sales and marketing chief and retirement of the head of industry and technology.


François Hinfray, head of sales and marketing leaves on December 31, 2004, after 15 years with the company and Pierre-Alain De Smedt, head of industry and technology retires on the same date.


From January 1, Patrick Blain will head sales and marketing and Jean-Louis Ricaud will lead quality and engineering.


Michel Gornet will head manufacturing, and Patrick Blain and Jean-Louis Ricaud will join the Renault-Nissan alliance board alongside Louis Schweitzer and Georges Douin, who retires in July 2005.
