In Europe, in an overall market down 1.2%, sales totalled 126,197 units, down 3.9% year-on-year. Renault’s market share was 8.5%.
However the company said that its German subsidiary put in an “excellent performance” with sales up 34.2% in a market that grew 9.8%. Sales in Spain, on the other hand, were down 21% as the market shrank a considerable 14.8%.
