PSA Peugeot Citroen has said it had resumed full two-shift operation at its Slovak plant after trimming output last week on stalled supplies from earthquake-hit Japan.
“The plant has resumed two-shift operation as of Wednesday as the supplies are returning to normal,” Peter Svec, spokesman for the plant, told AFP.

The company had to halt production on 28 March and reduce it to a single shift a day later as it lacked components for diesel engines produced by Japanese supplier Hitachi.
“The company will introduce several working Saturdays to catch up on its production plan,” Sved added.
The PSA plant in Trnava, western Slovakia, employs 3,000 staff and exports most of its production to Germany, France and Italy.
