Renault has announced that Odile Desforges has been appointed Senior Vice President, Renault Suppliers Relations, and Chairman and CEO of the Renault Nissan Purchasing Organisation effective March 1, 2003. She also becomes a member of the Renault Management Committee.

Desforges will report to Pierre-Alain De Smedt, Executive Vice President, industry and technology.

At the same time, Renault announced that effective April 1, Jean-Baptiste Duzan, currently Senior Vice President, Supplier Relations, and Chairman and CEO of the Renault Nissan Purchasing Organization, will become Corporate Controller and will remain a member of the Renault Management Committee.

He will report to Shémaya Lévy, Executive Vice President, chief financial officer. Alain-Pierre Raynaud, currently Corporate Controller and a member of the Renault Management Committee, has been ‘assigned other duties’.

Odile Desforges joined the Renault group in 1981 with the Automobile Division Planning Department before becoming product engineer on the R19, then product engineer for the C segment (1983-1985). She moved to Purchasing in 1986 as head of exterior equipment and was appointed Director, Body Hardware Purchasing, in 1992, for the common Renault Volvo Purchasing Organisation. Then in 1994, she took the position for Renault alone.
