Nissan Europe has reported sales of 31,726 vehicles in August 2004, up 4% over the same month last year.
In the eight month period from January to August 2004, Nissan Europe sold 361,839 units, 5.3% up from last year.
Nissan in France sold 2,525 units in August, a 5.2% increase compared to last year. In the eight month YTD period, Nissan sold 31,429 units in France, up by 7.1% on year.
In Germany, Nissan sold 5,840 units in August, an increase of 8% on year. YTD, it sold 43,883 units 6.3% down on year.
In Italy, Nissan sales of 2,415 units in August were down 22.9% on 2003. YTD sales rose 8.7% to 52,501 units.

By GlobalDataNissan Spain sold 4,207 units in August, up 9.8% compared to last year. In the eight month period to August 2004, sales rose to 14.4% to 44,367.
Nissan sold 3,335 units in the UK in August, an increase of 8.1%. In the eight month period from January to August 2004, sales fell 5% to 64,466 units.
Russian Nissan sales in August increased 240% to 2,770 units while, YTD sales were up 188% to 16,449.
The UK-built Micra was Nissan’s best-selling European model in August, with 8,006 sales, a decrease of 10.4% on August last year. But YTD sales of 113,294 units were up 8.3% on 2003.
