Nissan Europe has reported sales of 57,778 vehicles in June 2005, an increase of 10.1% year on year.


In the half year from January to June 2005, Nissan Europe sold 287,410 units, up 0.8% year on year.


The UK was Nissan’s largest single European market in June. There, it sold 10,237 units, an increase of 5.8% year on year. Half year volume was 54,901 units, up 1.5%.


The Micra, built in Sunderland in north-east England, was the automaker’s top seller in Europe in June at 17,683 units (up 4.6% year on year).


Year to date, however, Micra sales were off 5.3% to 86,729 units.
