Ford chairman and chief executive Bill Ford said today at an automotive seminar ahead of the Paris motor show that the company plans to increase its US vehicle production in the fourth quarter amid stronger than expected industry sales, Reuters reported.

But Ford did not specify the amount of the increase or to which vehicles it would apply, Reuters said, adding that the company normally uses year-on-year comparisons in its production forecasts.
Ford repeated previous guidance that the firm would be profitable in the third quarter, Reuters said.
