Revenues at French supplier Faurecia rose by 24% in the first quarter of this year partly reflecting acquisitions made since the same period a year ago.

The company, a subsidiary of PSA Peugeot-Citroen, said first quarter revenue totalled EUR3.9bn (US$5.8bn), up from EUR3.20bn (US$4.6bn) in Q1 2010.

Faurecia said its Q1 performance was driven by a 27% increase in sales by its emissions controls division. Revenue in North America was up 35% while Asia saw a 29% increase. Product sales rose 23% in the first quarter to EUR3.1bn (US$4.5bn), up 13%.
