Faurecia has signed an agreement with South Korean company Kwang Jin Sang Gong to form a 50/50 joint venture to make door modules in South Korea.

The JV will be called Kwang Jin Faurecia Limited with head office and development centre in Ansan.

Three assembly plants in Asan, Ulsan and Kwangju will produce just-in-time door modules for Hyundai and Kia vehicles.

Faurecia is already the second largest manufacturer of exhaust systems with two production plants in Kyong Ju and Shiheung.

Kwang Jin Sang Gong is South Korea’s leading manufacturer of door window regulators and the second largest supplier of door modules.
