Faurecia jumped into profit in the first half of this year with a net result of EUR102m (US$130.2m) from a loss of EUR365m (US$471m) for the same period a year ago.
The partsmaker, 57.4% owned by PSA Peugeot Citroen, has raised its forecast for its performance for 2010 after reporting that all its activities had picked up.
Chief executive Yann Delabriere told French BFM radio: “One can say that we are out of the crisis.”
The group has suffered losses since 2005 and struggled in the economic downturn, reducing its workforce by 17% between June 2008 and December last year.
Operating outcome showed a profit of EUR216.5m (US$280m) in the second quarter against a loss of EUR187m (US$241.5) in the same period a year ago.
