Delphi Corporation has won contracts with a value of at least $US335 million to supply batteries, switches and other parts to Renault SA to the end of 2006, the Detroit News said, adding that Delphi will provide parts to current Renault models including the Megane, Scenic, Clio and Twingo and some future models.
According to the report, Delphi said the Renault agreements include contracts worth $281 million for electrical and electronic distribution systems.
Delphi’s sales to Renault and Nissan, which is 44% owned by Renault, reached $634 million last year, making the French automaker Delphi’s fourth biggest customer behind General Motors, the Detroit News said.
