Citroën has announced details of its new DS4, the second model in its DS line, which will make its public debut at the Paris motor show this year and go on sale in 2011.

The DS4 will be available with five Euro 5 compliant engines – two diesels and three petrol – and has five doors with the rear handles hidden in the window surrounds, three rear seats and a 370 litre boot.

Citroen is offering its new 200hp petrol engine and the e-HDi will version produce 15% lower C02 emissions in urban environments, according to the automaker.

The two HDi diesels, 110 also available as an e-HDi version and 160, both have a diesel particulate filter.

The three petrol powerplants – VTi 120, THP 155 and the new THP 200 – were co-developed with BMW.

The 1.6 litre THP 200 has C02 emissions of 148g/km.
